Transformers weigh 36000lbs each

Transformer room was set back 10 feet inside building.

Tight fit but after extensive engineering study we determined it would work.

Switchgear presented its own problem as it was on the floor 12 feet setback from the building edge

and only 12 feet high. So we built a large platform to leave supported outside the building

and set the gear pre assembled in 5 section groups inside on rollers ,secured it from movement until

it reached the floor allowing the crew to roll the sections off in a safe manner.

The sections weighed 12000 lbs and the platform is designed for max load of 10 ton.

The entire job was completed ahead of schedule.
